Dear Customer

You may or may not have read that Waverley Train Station will be closing its access for Taxis and Private cars from 3 March 2011 for a period of at least 3 months. This is due to Network Rail replacing the glass roof.

We have had meetings with the Council and Network Rail to come up with alternative pick up and drop off points.

Our new temporary Customer pick up and drop off point will be in the New Street Car Park. We will be allowed 10mins free waiting time for any pick up or drop off. A waiting shelter with a help line will be positioned in this area pick up/drop off area. You will be able to access the station from this area by a series of stairs, lifts and ramps.

Network Rail will be painting a blue line for customers to follow and some additional signage on the bridge within the station to help customers find this area for taxi pickups.

We also believe that a temporary public taxi rank will be placed on Market Street as well as the Waverley Bridge rank.

We are asking all customers to allow extra travelling time during this work to ensure that you do not miss your train.
